You’ve tried loads of diets…
they go well for a while, perhaps a few days or few weeks (or even just the first half of the day!) but then you ultimately fall off the wagon and find yourself elbow deep in a packet of biscuits, feeling miserable and like you've "failed" again.
Does this cycle look familiar?
If so, you probably feel like you lack willpower? Or self-discipline?
That it's all your fault that you just can't eat healthy and stay on track?
That you just haven't found the *right* diet yet?
The cycle above is known amongst Dietitian's as "The Diet Cycle".
... and if you're stuck in it, you *need* to repair your relationship with food.
Another diet isn't going to solve it. It's going to FUEL it!
This is a cycle that so many women find themselves stuck in, with up to 2/3 dieters gaining MORE weight than they lose.
Mindblowingly counterproductive, right?
You identify as an emotional eater and use food to sooth feelings like stress or sadness.
Your typical response to this? A whole lot of self-blame and shame (which I bet isn't working for you!)
You don’t trust yourself around food like chocolate, cake and crisps — once you start, it’s like opening the flood gates and you find it near impossible to stop! There's no way you can peacefully keep these foods in the house.
You feel like you’re either “on the wagon” or “off the wagon” when it comes to food. Perhaps you've even hit "diet rock bottom", where the thought of another diet makes you shudder... but you're not sure what the alternative is?
but, whenever you might lose any, you gain it back once you stop a diet or "fall off the wagon"... and perhaps your weight's even going UP over time?
You think about food A LOT... second guessing your decisions, feeling guilty or obsessing over particular types of foods (*cough* cookies *cough*)
but you just can't change your habits so that they align. You're constantly telling yourself that you SHOULDN'T be eating the way that you do.
I know you think it's all your fault. That you lack self-discipline and willpower... but the thing is, there are countless others who struggle just like you (I know, I've coached them!) and it's not you that's failed but the way that you've always been taught to relate to food that's failed YOU!
There's a new way forward.
Eating doesn't have to be a constant source of conflict any longer.
What if you could....
Trusting yourself around food: you're able to keep any food in the cabinet (yes, including past trigger foods!), eating half a cupcake and genuinely not wanting the rest, being "that friend" that can eat what she wants and stop when she’s full, without giving it a second thought. You feel free.
Going out with your friends or partner, spontaneously and without stress, knowing that it won't "derail" you or lead to a free-for-all.
Myth-busting and getting clear on legit healthy eating principles (if your only "good" food is green leafy veg, that's not health!) so that you feel empowered to ADD IN nutrition without restricting or feeling deprived.
Being in tune with your body and eating in line with its cues, like hunger and fullness (finally working with your body, rather than against it)
Easily settling at your body's natural, happy weight when your eating is normalised, peaceful and healthy.
This is where you learn to chill out & "make peace" with foods that you've previously labelled as "off limits", one step at a time (with all the structure you need).
Ultimate goal = be as emotionally chill about chocolate as you are chicken salad.

When my coaching client, Jen, started working with me she had a major diet mindset. Years in the restrict/overeat cycle had eroded her self-trust and left her feeling confused and powerless in her relationship with food.
Unhelpful food rules, deprivation, all-or-nothing thinking, a loud inner food/body critic, unrealistic expectations, lack of mindfulness, and panicked reactivity created the perfect recipe for a chaotic and stressful relationship with food!
She’d work hard to “stay on track” only to unravel at the end of the day or on the weekend.
Can you relate?
By learning how to relate to food and her body in an entirely new way and repeatedly using the tools and strategies provided, Jen THRIVED.
She cultivated self-compassion, mindfulness and food peace and truly embodied a Food Freedom Mindset.
Let me tell you what that looked like...

I haven't always had a peaceful relationship with food though...
Far from it, in fact.
In my late teens/early 20s, diets and food rules stole a lot of joyful moments from me… at a time that I was supposed to be my most care-free! I tracked, counted and obsessed over eating “healthily” (NOT healthy, btw). All this ultimately lead to was thinking about food way too much, overeating and even bingeing when I felt I'd stuffed up or in anticipation of “starting again” the next day.
The restrict/overeat cycle had eroded my self-trust and left me feeling like I’d failed... I thought that restriction and a diet mentality were helping me to control food, but ultimately they drove me to feel the opposite!
Thankfully, one morning, after going HAM on peanut butter the night before, I said no more. I knew that restriction wasn’t serving me and that it was time to find a new way to relate to food and my body...
Total peace and trust around food like cookies, donuts and pizza -- they're just no longer a big deal!
Spontaneous, fun, eating experiences that don't lead to stress, guilt or spiral into a free-for-all
Full confidence in ADDING IN nutrition without restricting or feeling deprived
Trusting your body's cues like hunger and fullness and eating Intuitively
Easily settling at your body's natural, happy weight when your eating is normalised, peaceful and healthy
Now?
Peanut butter is no big deal.
I can keep all sorts of foods (like chocolate and icecream) in the house and often forget that they're even there.
They're no longer charged and magnetic, they're emotionally neutral.
The old way hasn't been working. Look where it's left you -- obsessing over food and struggling with rebound overeating.
You can break free from the restrict/overeat cycle... but it's not going to be through more restriction or another diet plan! You need a new blueprint on how to relate to food. To transform your relationship with it... and one that you simply can't fail at.

That's exactly the point. This ISN’T another diet! You haven’t failed and you’re not broken, diets and restrictions have failed you. It’s time for an entirely new way to relate to food. One that removes the pressure and the diet backlash and allows you to work with your body, rather than against it.
Don’t let this limiting belief keep you STUCK in the same old cycle.
How long have you been dieting/trying to lose weight for? Years? 10s of years? Multiple 10s of years?! How's the diet route been working for you, over the long term? Perhaps you lose weight, only to gain it back over time? Perhaps, like many dieters, you've ended up gaining MORE weight than you've lost?
WTF?!! It's a flawed system, FOR SURE. All of the women that I work with desperately want to lose weight or control their weight… and they've been trying for years!!The thing is, the more we try to control food, the more OUT of control we can actually feel. Talk about counterproductive. Hasn’t your goal been to lose weight or control your body all along? It’s what’s lead to you being in this food fight to begin with.
If what you’ve been doing isn’t serving you, know that diets and food rules will alwayyyys be there. Why not give yourself a chance and see what happens when you leave the diet cycle behind, repair your relationship with food and incorporate healthy eating and movement habits in a way that’s actually sustainable?! Old ways won’t open new doors.
I get it. The thing is, it often doesn't feel like the “right” time.
If you’ve got time to stress about food and your body, you’ve got time to do this. I’ve made a point of removing fluff and making it as actionable as possible and I’ll even include audio recordings, so you can listen on the run. I’ve broken it down into bite-sized chunks to prevent overwhelm, have included implementation/catch-up weeks AND you'll have access to the modules for up to 12 months so you can take it at your own pace.
I hear you. I felt the same when I was stuck in the diet/binge cycle… I’d “failed” at staying on track so many times before… so, why, when I heard about this idea of repairing my relationship with food, would it be any different?
The thing is, it’s the way that you’ve been taught to relate to food that fails YOU. It sets you up to fail again and again and again, eroding self-trust with each cycle.
You need an entirely new blueprint. You need to overhaul your relationship with food. We rebuild that self-trust step-by-step!
Ahhh I get it, I thought the same! The thing is, restriction/diet rules provide a temporary sense of control around food... “Phew it’s okay, I’m making up for it, I’m being “good”, this is going well...”
Until they set you up to feel utterly out of control.
Let's get this clear: If you're stuck in the diet cycle, restriction is DRIVING overeating and bingeing.
Inside FFM, I walk you through the step-by-step process of moving away from diet backlash and systematically "making peace" with binge foods, so you can ultimately feel in charge around all food and eat healthily, peacefully.
